Service Description: Image mosaic of several hundred vertical photos captured on December 9, 2019 of the Rangitata River flood of its south branch by Environment Canterbury Scientists and Engineers. Due to altitude constraints, and insufficient overlap between photos, these images are not able to be orthorectified and this lack of accuracy needs to be taken into consideration in its use. The photo location and orientation were derived from the camera’s internal GPS Longitudinal and Latitudinal readings. The imagery was then mosaiced by the Environment Canterbury Survey department with specialist software and further georeferenced by the GIS team with a Root Mean Square (RMS) error of 1.4. The imagery content is provided to public under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 New Zealand license: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/nz/
